The Sword of Light (SOL) exists to help who wield it vanquish evil and mete out justice to those who have been wronged. However, it has a very strong respect for figures of authority that act on behalf of the greater good of those under such authority, and the SOL will likely oppose actions taken against such authority unless it can be convinced otherwise. It has great insight into the mind of its wielder regarding intentions and purpose, so the SOL is extremely difficulty to mislead or bluff.

The Sword of Light is an intelligent weapon of unknown origin to the party. It was given to Gruuntham Bronzerunner by The Guardian of Mystra’s holiest temple as a reward for surviving Mystra’s Labyrinth and seeking an audience with Chronos.
It’s primary purpose is to seek out and destroy evil in all its forms, but it’s secondary purpose is to seek the destruction of its sister sword – the Sword of Darkness.
